Alarm Messages
Message Possible Cause(s) Possible Solution(s)
Bag Transfer 3
Tunnel Guard Open
A tunnel guard (the flap type
door used to monitor product
entering under the transfer
station) was pushed in causing
the machine to stop or the
MACHINE READY push-button
was pressed while one of the
tunnel guard doors is pushed in.
Product is too high in the bucket
causing the tunnel guard to push
in. Determine if there are too
many bags in the bucket or if the
product is improperly positioned in
the bucket.
Bag Transfer 4

Pull out the EMERGENCY STOP
push-button.

The EMERGENCY STOP push-
button is pressed.
Pull out the EMERGENCY STOP
push-button.
Carton Discharge
Jam Fault
A carton is jammed in the
discharge area of the CMK
cartoner.
After the machine stops, open the
guard doors and clear the mis-fed
carton. Determine the reason for
the jammed carton and make
adjustments, if necessary. Close
the guard doors and press the
Machine Ready pushbutton to
prepare for operation.
Carton Erector Chain
Overload Fault
The tension of the carton erector
chain drive has exceeded the
allowable limit.
MAKE SURE THE MACHINE IS
E-STOPPED BEFORE
CHECKING FOR AND/OR
REMOVING OBSTRUCTIONS
TO CLEAR THIS ALARM!
This alarm is triggered by a
mechanical clutch. Any number of
obstructions in the carton erector
area of the machine (including
torn or mangled cartons) may
cause the carton erector chain
clutch to trip in order to prevent
damage. Check and clear any
obstructions.
If the problem persists, the tension
of the carton erector chain may
need to be adjusted.
