Now, both conference members receive their normal N–X signals and con-
tribute to the corresponding masters.
CUE The CUE function allows defining any 10 signals as cue sources both for
the control room and studio 1; this is configured using the configuration tool
on the Desk Common - Cue Keys page. Selection can be made from all
inputs and patch inputs, sums, and subgroups. These signals will then appear
on the 10 CUE buttons on the user GUI. Signals selected with them will be
fed back to the N–X buses instead of the normal N–X or conference signals,
if the CUE button next to the corresponding N–X selector button is activated.
Full N–X Return For special applications, an N–X bus may be configured in such a way that the
N–X owner can hear himself anyway. In order to do this, the channel rotary
encoder assignment must contain the N–X bus.
5.6 Signaling
The OnAir 3000 has full-way red light signaling, which means that the audio
path must be open from the microphone to the master output in order that red
light indication becomes active.
Signaling settings are performed in the configuration.
Signaling is provided for the control room and up to three studios; it works
with the configured behavior of the inputs, describing the microphone loca-
tions. Red light indication in the control room is provided in the monitoring/
TB module and in the main screen. Possible locations are:
  • ControlRoom(CR)
  • Studio1(1)
  • Studio2(2)
  • Studio3(3)
The ON AIR indication may be AND-linked with an external signal, e.g.
coming from the master control room, indicating that the signal is actually
routed to the antenna (see GPIO section). It is configurable which one of the
main masters (or which combination of them) activates the ON AIR indication.
Example Red light indication for a particular location is active if:

  • thischannel’sfaderisopen,thechannelisswitchedON and is routed to a
