9.4.1.2 Integrated Solution
In the integrated network solution, one or more OnAir 3000 consoles are
placed within the IT network domain. By default, UDP broadcast packets
are used by the OnAir 3000 subsystems for establishing and maintaining the
DNET communication.
The integrated solution allows using servers maintained by the existing IT
infrastructure, e.g. the Central User Management or Central Snapshot File
server. In the integrated solution, all network services, like DHCP, DNS
and WINS are provided by the IT infrastructure. For remote administration,
software update, and remote studio assistance, any console can be accessed
from any workstation.
In order to reach a slight separation of the IT from the OnAir 3000 traffic, a
single switch should be used to connect the OnAir 3000 consoles to the IT
network.
An integrated network solution makes the following features possible:
•NTP time synchronization
•User snapshot file server on a central IT file server
•Central user management on an IT file server
•Control of a Pro-Bel router or router control software
•CMS integration
•Remote configuration and administration (Remote ConfigGUI) from any
workstation within the IT network
•Configuration file management (FTP) from any workstation within the IT
network
•Software update from any workstation within the IT network
•Remote studio assistance (Remote UserGUI) from any workstation within
the IT network.
