All modules can be combined freely for integration into custom desk furni-
ture. They are closed, low-profile metal cassettes. Standard configurations
are available in a fixed frame for desktop operation as well (see below).
The interconnections between the modules are realized via RS422, and the
audio connection to the monitoring/talkback module is realized with an opti-
cal-fibre ADAT link. The connection to the SCore is performed via Ethernet.

– Important’ page right after the table of contents.
The master level meters are part of the on-air screen and not foreseen as a
standard module. External meters may be integrated via D21m interface
cards; for more information on this subject, please consult the Studer Systems
department.
Key Labels: Most keys can be freely configured and assigned. Some have transparent caps
that allow inserting individual labels. However, in the following description
and examples the default key labels are used. An MS Excel file for creating
key labels is included with the documents/release DVD-ROM.

Due to the fact that the fixed-frame version has all the wiring between the
modules and also the distribution box within the frame, the external wiring is
reduced to a minimum. Only a pair of monitor loudspeakers, the SCore and
the Ethernet switch has to be connected, apart from the power cable.
