7.4.11 Master Labels for the Secondary Desk
Configuration Tool: Config → Masters
Configuration Tool: Config → Insert Return
Since A/B desk mode simulates two different consoles to the operator, the

position; e.g. the PGM B bus assignment is indicated on the Channel Screen
at the position of PGM A.
Therefore, some labels of the master buses used for the secondary desk may
be changed for consistency reasons.
Example for a certain A/B Desk Mode configuration:
PGM B: PRG B → PRG A
AUX: AUX4→ AUX1
MIX: N–X 11...16 → N–X 1...6
Insert: Insert 7...8 → Insert 1...2
7.4.12 CAB over MONITORA
cab_interface.ini
In the cab_interface.ini file, the desk assignment of the CAB System
connected via Monitora has to be defined as primary or secondary desk.
begin
interface: MonitoraInterface.dll
name: MONITORA
port: COM4
location: ControlRoom
desk_assignment: Secondary
end
The desk assignment is Primary, Secondary, or None. The CAB
System can be linked to a desk. In such a case, the desk resource of the cor-
responding desk will be used, and user messages will appear on the assigned
desk only.
The connection to the CAB system will not be established until the desk has
been started.
None is the default value and means the same as ‘ignore this line’; in this
case, no desk is required to start the communication to the CAB system.
Monitora over TCP/IP SW V3.0 and up allow connecting several different CAB systems to an OnAir
3000 console, provided that a virtual communications tool such as ‘Serial to
Ethernet Connector’ from Eltima Software is used for Monitora control over
TCP/IP.
When the logical input of a CAB source is removed from the fader, the
console sends a SOURCE_DESELECTED message to the CAB system. At
this time, the console neither accepts messages from nor sends them to the
CAB system. In former software versions, the CAB system was responsible
to re-select a source when it is used again. With V3.2 the console will send
a SOURCE_SELECTED message to the radio automation system autono-
