5.8.7.2 Producing Livewire Streams
The OnAir AoIP feature allows sending Livewire streams to the network.
Basically all outputs that can be physically mapped by configuration to a
D21m output card, are able to send a Livewire stream. These are Logical- and
Patch Outputs*, FixedOutputs, etc.
The following properties are controlled by the console application software
and therefore reduce configuration effort:
• Host Name
The Host Name is by default the console’s system name.
• Stream Name
Basically the output stream inherits the name from its source. In case of
Logical- and Patch1 Outputs it is the label of the source patched to it in
the output routing page. See chapter 5.3.5.2.
Otherwise it is the label of the corresponding output.
• Channel Number
By default, the Channel Number is generated according to the standard
rule recommended by Axia.
• Stream Mode
According to the console configuration, streams to be sent to the network
are enabled or disabled to save network load.
Under the following condition, the OnAir application software controls the
properties of an output stream as described above:
• Network-andconnectordefinitionareproperlyconfiguredasdescribed
in chapter 6.6.
• theoutputmustbephysicallymappedtoanoutputofaLivewirecard.
*Patch Inputs only available on OnAir3000
5.8.7.3 Label Transfer
Label transfer is the function that makes sure you can clearly identify inputs
streams on the console’s MainScreen/Desk User Interface.
It transfers the Host- and Stream Name of the input stream to the LogicalInput
where it is patched to.
The label of a LogicalInput is automatically set to the Stream Name, where
its Remote System Name will be the Host Name.
The Label Transfer function updates the Label and Remote System Name of
LogicalInputs after :
• everyStreamPatchingchange
• eachtimeanassociatedLivewiredevicesendstheStreamAdvertisement
message
• thephysicalinputmappingofaLogicalInputchanges
Note: After power-up, when Stream Advertisements are not (yet) received, stream
information may not be available for a short time. In such a case, the label
and Remote System Name will indicate “unavlbl”.
Under the following condition, the OnAir application software handles Label
