7.4 Return to factory default
General
Prior to performing any setup procedures, it is recommended that you perform a factory reset — in order to reset all input, output
and source mappings to their default values.
Particularly for customers in the eve nts and rental marketplace, this procedure guarantees that any previous input setups and mem -
ory registers (e.g., those that may have been prog rammed by other users) are c ompletely cleared from system mem ory.
If you are continuing an e vent (for example, day two of a three-day event), you do not need to p erform a factory
reset. However, if you d o elect t o p erform a factory reset, ensu re that yo u h ave backed up your system. for
details, please refer to the procedure "Backing up the system ", page 166.
Prerequisite
• Ensure that you are familiar with the Reset Menu. For details o n all menus, please refer to chapter "Restoring Factory Default
Settings", pa ge 64.
Restoring factory settings
To restore all de fault settings to the E2, use the following procedure:
1. Select Factory Reset from the Setup Menu.
The Factory Reset Menu appears.
2. Select Factory Reset to reset the entire system to its factory default values. Remem ber that all data will be lost.
Or,
Select Factory Reset , Save IP to re set the entire system to its factory default values, but retains the IP ad dress of the E2.
A prom pt appears, asking if you want to clear all configu rations.
3. Press SEL.
The system turns off, then it reboots.
