About this chap ter
This chapter p rovides a detailed procedure for upgrading E2 software (firmwa re).
The E2 provides two options for upgrading firm ware via the front panel menu:
• Using the USB port on the front panel.
• Using the Web Upgrade.
A third solution is av ailable to upgrading the E2 with the built-in web interface. For details on the upgrad e pro-
cedure via the Setting Menu in the Event M aster Control Software (EM GUI), please refer to chapter "Settings

In the event the E2 gets into a state in which it co ns tantly reb oots after a so ftwa re u pgrade, press and ho ld
the SEL a nd ESC keys simultaneously until the front panel shows the choice of perform ing a factory reset o r
continuing. Performing a factory reset w ill allow the E2 to boot n orm ally.
