7.6 Restoring the system
This step in the E2 setup procedure is op tional. If there is not backup available or if you decide to configure
your u nit from scratch, please m ove to the next step to c ontinue the procedure.
General
In this p rocedure, you will res tore your system configuration from a USB drive — provided that you previously backed up y our system
to a USB drive.
Prerequisite
• Ensure that you are familiar with the USB device (Backup/Restore) Menu. For details on this m enu, please refer to c hapter
"System men u > USB device (Backup/Restore)", page 54.
Restore a system configuration file
Use the following steps to restore your system from the USB Drive:
1. Insert a formatted flash drive in the E2’s front-panel USB port.
2. From the S ystem me nu, scroll to the USB Backup/Restore submenu. Select Restore Config.
The USB Restore Config submenu appears.
3. Press SE L and scroll through the list o f configuration files. When you locate the file you w ant, p ress SEL again.
A message con firms the restore operation and instructs you to reboot the E2.
You must reboot the E2 to use the restored configurati on file.
At the conclusion of this procedure, your system is completely set up — exactly the way that you left it w hen
you performed a com plete system “backup.” No further se tup operations are required.
