3-10-10-3 Query/Retrieve Verification
Follow the Steps Below to do a First Test (TCP-IP Ping) of the Connection
1.) Select the “Smiley” button to Ping the server.
NOTE: The smiley checks if the remote server is accessible (ping). It is not a DICOM Echo (DICOM
ping), so it does not check AE title or port number.
2.) If the network connection to the server is OK, it will be illustrated by a smiling “Smiley” .
A sad Smiley indicates that the network connection is failing.
Typical causes:
- Network cable not connected.
- Configuration error(s).
3.) When ready, select OK to close the DICOM Query/Retrieve properties and save changes.
