7.10 ATS0 Set number of rings before automatically answering a call
ATS0 controls the automatic answering feature for data calls. The setting is global for all interfaces, but an incom-
ing call is answered only on the interface where the ATS0 write command was executed most recently. An excep-
tion is the second serial interface ASC1: Take care not to activate autoanswering on ASC1, because on this
interface calls might be autoanswered regardless whether the connection can be handled.
The write command is SIM PIN protected, the read command is not.
