Caution: Use this procedure only to replace a single failed controller
in an Array Module. If both controllers in an Array Module
have failed, do not follow this procedure. Instead, contact
Quantum Support.
Obtaining a
Replacement Array
Module Controller
Before beginning the replacement procedure, make sure that you have
the required replacement kit. The appropriate replacement Array
module controller will be provided by Quantum Customer Support (see
Figure 125).
You will need the following items to perform this procedure:
• Replacement Array module controller provided by Quantum
Customer Support.
• ESD grounding wrist strap (included in the replacement kit)

This section describes how to remove and replace a controller in a
DXi6900 G1 Array module (RBOD).
Caution: Use appropriate ESD precautions, including the use of a
grounding strap, when performing this procedure.
