6 Click Launch Virtual Console.
Note: A Java plug-in is required to access the iDRAC virtual
console. Follow the prompts to install the plug-in and
launch the virtual console.
7 To access the command prompt:
a Click inside the virtual console viewer window to enable
keyboard input.
b Enter ServiceLogin for the user name and then enter the service
password (see
Tabl e 8 for system passwords).
The command prompt displays.
8 After the command prompt, type the following command and press
<Enter>:
sudo -i sh
This command creates a shell with root access.
