Additional Removal and Replacement Procedures
Some FRU procedures require removing and re-installing items in the
Node that are not FRUs themselves. Refer to the following procedures to
remove and re-install non-FRU components in the Node:
• Removing and Installing the Cooling Fan Assembly
• Removing and Installing the PCIe Card Holder
• Removing and Installing the Cable Retention Bracket

Fan Assembly
To remove and replace the cooling fan assembly, refer to the following
procedures:

Removing the Cooling Fan Assembly
To remove the cooling fan assembly:
1 Unlock the cooling fan assembly from the chassis by rotating the
blue release lever upward (see
Figure 142).
2 Lift the cooling fan assembly out of the chassis.
