This section describes how to remove and replace cooling fans in the
DXi6900 G1 Node and contains the following sections:

Obtaining a
Replacement Node
Cooling Fan
Before beginning the replacement procedure, make sure that you have
the required replacement kit. The appropriate replacement cooling fan
will be provided by Quantum Customer Support (see
Figure 53).
You will need the following items to perform this procedure:
• Replacement cooling fan kit provided by Quantum Customer
Support.
• ESD grounding wrist strap (included in the replacement kit)

This section describes how to remove and replace a cooling fan in the
DXi6900 G1 Node. If a cooling fan fails, you will be notified by an admin
alert in the remote management console.
