Configuring the Number of Allowed Sources and Replication Streams

Caution: The maximum number of replication streams on the
source plus one multiplied by the number of replication
sources configured on the target must not exceed 90.
Expressed as a formula:
[MaxReplicationStreams on Source + 1] x [Number
of Replication Sources Configured on Target] <= 90
4 Reboot the source system using the Utilities > Reboot &
Shutdown page in the remote management console.
Configuring the Target System
To change the maximum allowed sources that replicate to the target
system:
1 Connect to the DXi6900 G1 Node (see Connecting to the DXi6900
G1 Node on page 32).
2 Edit the DXi6800.conf file (using VI editor) in the /data/hurricane/
conf directory.
3 In the .conf file, change the variable
<MaxAllowedReplicationSources>
to the new value.
Caution: The maximum number of allowed replication sources
on the target multiplied by the number of replication
streams configured on the source plus one must not
exceed 90. Expressed as a formula:
[MaxAllowedReplicationSources] x [Number of
Replication Streams on Source + 1] <= 90
4 Reboot the source system using the Utilities > Reboot &
Shutdown page in the remote management console.
