Alarm Messages
Message Possible Cause(s) Possible Solution(s)
Main Drive Tension
Fault
The tension of the main drive
has exceeded the allowable
limit.
MAKE SURE THE MACHINE IS
E-STOPPED BEFORE
CHECKING FOR AND/OR
REMOVING OBSTRUCTIONS
TO CLEAR THIS ALARM!
This alarm is triggered by a
mechanical clutch. Any number of
obstructions in the carton flight
area of the machine (including
torn or mangled cartons) may
cause the Main Drive clutch to trip
in order to prevent damage.
Check and clear any obstructions.
If the problem persists, the tension
of the drive chain may need to be
adjusted with the rollers on the
adjustable clamping disk.
MCR Not Energized An emergency stop pushbutton
has been pressed or a guard
door has been opened and
disabled the master control
relay.
If no unsafe conditions exist, reset
all e-stops and close all guard
doors. Press the MACHINE
READY push button to energize
the MCR.
Minor Flap Fixed
Side Axis Fault
The servo drive of the flap closer
on the fixed side of the machine
has detected a fault condition.

for more detailed alarms on this
axis; open the main electrical
enclosure and record the error
code on the servo drive; consult
the servo drive manufacturer's
manual for troubleshooting.
Minor Flap Variable
Side Axis Fault
The servo drive of the flap closer
on the variable side of the
machine has detected a fault
condition.

axis; open the main electrical
enclosure and record the error
code on the servo drive; consult
the servo drive manufacturer's
manual for troubleshooting.
Reject Conveyor
Product Jam Fault
Bags are jammed on the product
reject conveyor.
Once the machine cycle stops,
clear the mis-fed bags. Determine
the reason for the jam and make
adjustments, if necessary. Press
the Machine Ready pushbutton to
prepare for operation.
