Checking the Power Supply Cables
Action To check the power supply cables, follow these steps:
1. Verify that the power cable or power cord from the power source to the router is
not damaged. If the insulation is cracked or broken, immediately replace the
cord or cable.
2. Make sure that the power and ground cables on each DC power supply are
arranged so that they do not obstruct access to the other power supply or to the
Routing Engine.
3. Periodically inspect the site to ensure that the cables connected to the power
supply are securely in place and are properly insulated.
