ThissynchronizationmodeisusediftheEK15isworkingbyitself,andno
synchronizationisrequired.Thisisthedefaultsetting.TheEK15willoperate
usingitsinternalpingintervalparameters,independentofsignalsarrivingatthe
synchronizationport.
•Master
ThismodeisusediftheEK15shallactasaMasterinasynchronizedsystem.
Theperipheralhydroacousticsystemwillthenonlybepermittedtotransmit
whenenabledbytheEK15.Whenthismodeischosen,theEK15willrunusing
itsinternalpingintervalparameters,andtransmitexternaltriggersignalstothe
peripheralsystem(s)onthesynchronizationport.
•Slave
ThismodeisusediftheEK15shalltransmitonlywhenpermittedbyaperipheral
system.Whenthismodeischosen,theEK15willwaitforanexternaltriggerto
appearonthechosensynchronizationportbeforeeachping.

Thisdelayparameterisuseddifferentlydependingonthechosensynchronization
mode.
•Stand-alone:Notused.
•Slave:TheEK15willwaitforthedelaytimeaftertheexternaltriggersignalhas
arrivedbeforetransmittingtheping.(Post-trigger)
•Master:TheEK15willwaitforthedelaytimeaftertheexternaltriggersignal
hasbeensenttotheslavesbeforetransmittingtheping.(Pre-trigger)
Notethatthisdelaywillonlyworkwhenthesynchronizationissetupusing
aserialport.
