1ClicktheDisplaybuttontoopenthemenu.
ThisbuttonislocatedundertheMainmenu.Itisusedtoopenthe
Displaysubmenu.
2OntheDisplaymenu,clickColourSetuptoopentheColourSetupdialog
box.
ThepurposeoftheColourSetupdialogboxistocontrolthepresentationcolours
usedbytheEK15.

Whichcolourscaletouseismainlyapersonalpreferencebasedonambientlight
conditions,thenatureoftheechoesandyourownexperience.
Keepinmindthatinthebasicscalewith12colours,eachdiscretecolourrepresents
a3dBrangeofechosignalstrength.Thisimpliesthatthenextcolourisselected
everytimetheechostrengthisdoubled.
However,asthenumberofcolourscandiffer,anddedicatedcolourschemescanbe
used,thisisnotnecessarilycorrect.AhighnumericTVGvaluedisplaysweakecho
signalsproperlywhilethestrongersignalssaturateintothedarkercolours.Alow
numericvaluedisplaysstrongechosignalsproperly.Weaksignalsbelowthelower
limitofthecolourscalearenotdisplayed(thedisplaybackgroundcolourisused).
Ifyouchoosetousemanycolours,theresolutionoftheEK15presentationisgreatly
improved.Itistheneasiertodistinguishthedifferencebetweenthevariousechoes
ofdifferentsizeand/ortargetstrength.
5ClickOKtosavethecurrentsettingsandclosethedialogbox.

Purpose
Youcanlterouttheweakestechoesbymanuallymodifyingthecolourthreshold.
Description
Bydefaultyouhave64or12coloursavailabletopresenttheechograms,andaselection
ofpalettes.ThecolourscalecanberetrievedanytimebyclickingtheColourScale
iconontheTitleBar.
ThecurrentlyselectedcolourscaleisalsoshownontheStatusBar.
