Procedure
1ClicktheActiveicon.
ThisiconislocatedundertheMainmenu.ItisusedtoopentheActive
menu.
2OntheActivemenu,clickBottomDetectortoopentheBottomDetector
dialogbox.
ThepurposeoftheBottomDetectordialogboxistodenetheupperandlower
depthlimitsmostlikelytobeusedduringtheEK15operation.Inthisdialogbox,
youcanalsomodifythesettingforBottomBacksteptochangethebottomdetection
relativetothebottomecho.
3EnteraMinimumDepth.
Thissettingeliminatesallunwantedbottomdetectionsfromthetransducersurface
anddowntothedeneddepth.
4EnteraMaximumDepth.
Setthisdepthtoapproximately50%morethantheexpecteddepth.IftheEK15
shouldloosebottomdetectionduetoairorotherdisturbances,itwilltrytorelocate
thedepthwithintheminimumandmaximumdepthsyouhavedened.Donot
exaggerate.Ifyouforexampleenter5000metersandthebottomtrackislost,the
EK15willsearchtheentiredepthfornewbottomlock.Thiswilltakealotoftime.
