boxontheMainmenu.
7Observethattheprogrampresentationllstheentirescreen.
Important
WhentheEK15programhasstarted,theiconfortheOperationmenuwillash
toremindyouthat“pinging”isdisabled.Thisisforsafetyreasons.Youmust
manuallystart“pinging”bymeansofthePingbutton.
8Chooseoperationalmode.

9ObservethattheEK15starts.
TheEK15startsupusingthesameoperationalparametersasthelasttimeyouused
it.Iftheseparametersareacceptable,continueoperation.Ifyouwishtoalterbasic
operationalparameters,seethededicatedprocedures.
WhentheEK15starts,itisveryimportantthatitdetectsthebottomcorrectly.In
mostcasesthiswilltakeplaceautomatically.However,wehaveexperiencedthat
largeschoolsofshordifcultbottomconditionshavedeceivedtheEK15todisplay
thewrongdepth.Inthesecasesthesoundermaydisplaythebottomat0,0meters.In
ordertoaidtheEK15tolocatethecorrectdepth,observethededicatedprocedure.

YoumustneverswitchofftheEK15onlybymeansoftheon/offswitchon
thecomputer .Thismaydamagethesoftwareortheinterfaceparametersfor
externaldevices.YoumustALWAYSusethisprocedure.

2Observethattheprogramclosesdown.
3Ifthecomputerdoesnotswitchitselfoffautomatically,usethefunctionality
providedbytheoperatingsystemtoswitchitoffmanually.
