Minimumcomputerrequirements
ObservetheminimumtechnicalrequirementsfortheSimradEK15ProcessorUnit
computer.
UnlessspecicallyorderedfromSimrad,theEK15isnotprovidedwithacolourdisplay
orcomputer.Theseitemsmustbepurchasedlocally.Ifmorethanonetransceiveris
used,ahighspeedEthernetswitchisalsorequired.
Tip
Ifyoupurchaseacomputerlocally,itisimportanttomakesurethatthechosenmodel
meetsthefunctionalsystemrequirements.Itisimportantthatthecomputercanfacilitate
thevariousinterfacerequirementsmadebythesystem,andyoumayneedtoaddextra
Ethernetandserialadapters.Also,makesurethatthecomputerdesignandconstruction
allowsformarineuseandsafeinstallation.Alaptopcomputermaybeusedaslong
asitmeetsthefunctionalrequirements.

Ifyouwishtorecordrawdata,youmusteitherinstallalargeharddisk,useperipheral
storagedevices,orconnectthecomputertotheship’snetwork.

Minimumresolutionis1280x1024pixels.
ThegraphicadaptermustsupportDirectX9.0c,andmustbecompatiblewithDirect3d
andOpenGL.

computershallalsobeconnectedtoalocalareanetwork(LAN).
