TheEchogramdialogboxallowsyoutosetuptheparameterscontrollingthe
echogrampresentation.Thethreetabscontrolthehorizontallines,theechogram
typewithappliedTVG,andhowfasttheechogrammovesacrossthedisplay.
3OntheLinestab,observethatthebiomasscanbeenabledordisabled,andthatyou
candeneascaleforit.

Adjustingthesignalgain
Purpose
Thisprocedureexplainshowtochangethegain.
Description
Youcancomparethisgainsettingwiththevolumecontrolonyourcarradio.Whenthe
gainisincreased,theechoeswillappearstronger.Weakechoeswillbeeasiertosee.
However,sinceyoualsoincreasetheacousticnoiseinthereception,theEK15echo
presentationswillalsoshowthis.Toomuchgainwillthus“distort”thepresentation.
Bydefault,thegainsettingappliesonlytothecurrentlyselectedechogram(identied
withathickborder).Severalechogramtypesareavailable,theseareselectedinthe
Echogramdialogbox.Ifyouwishtoadjustthegainonallsimilarechogramsinyour
view,clicktoselectApplytoall.
Tip
DonotconfusethisGainfunctionwiththeTVGfunction.
