Please take precautions during installation to prevent metal fragments or dusts
produced by drilling or other actions from falling into inverter. Remove precaution
objects after installation.
2.4 Installation Direction and Space
A cooling fan must be installed for EM500 inverter for forced air cooling. Inverter
must be installed in vertical direction with enough space maintained to an adjacent object
or a baffle (wall) for better cooling effect (see Figure 2–2).
EM500 inverter (450 kW or above) must be installed with a cooling fan for forced
air cooling. Its special air channel design enable cabinet to be installed at both left and
right sides in parallel and only certain maintenance and operation space is required before
and after cabinet.
