If the ‘0 dB on top’ fader scale mode is active for the current user, the electri-
cal fader value can be set higher than 0 dB with this rotary encoder. When
touching the fader button (on motor fader modules) or slightly moving it (on
non-motor fader modules), control can be taken over again by the physical
fader; there will, however, be an audible level jump in such a case.
5.3.3.2 5.1 Page (optional)
This page opens only if the 5.1-channel option is installed, either when select-
ing it from the Sum page, or by pressing the SEL key on a fader strip that
has been configured as 5.1-channel master. It allows PFL selection for the
5.1-channel master buses 5.1 A and 5.1 B. The bus labels may be renamed
in the configuration tool.
PFL The pre-fader signal is downmixed to the stereo PFL bus, there is no 5.1-chan-
nel PFL bus available.
(Master) Fader The fader value is indicated by the yellow-colored bar graph. The exact value
is displayed in dB and can be set with the rotary encoder below the field. This
master fader affects any of the six individual 5.1-channel signals.
Notes: No inserts are available for the 5.1 master outputs.
Any master output can be assigned to any physical fader on the desk; refer
to chapters 5.3.5 and 6.5.11.
The master outputs have a fixed output limiter installed that can be influenced
only in the configuration menu.
The fader value adjusted with the rotary encoder (or the mouse) and the one
of the physical fader in the corresponding fader strip, if assigned, are work-
ing in parallel, it is a kind of ‘the last wins’ circuit. This means that moving
the physical fader also effects the bar graph on the screen; the other way
round, however, a change with the rotary encoder or the mouse sets the fader
into takeover mode, because the new (electrical) fader value and the fader’s
(physical) position will then be different. This does not apply, of course, when
using the optional motor fader modules.
If the ‘0 dB on top’ fader scale mode is active for the current user, the electri-
