11.8.3 Set Waveform Speed
1) Select the SpO
2
parameter area or waveform area to enter [SpO
2
] menu.
2) Select [SpO
2
Setup] tab.
3) Set [Waveform Speed] to the appropriate value.
11.8.4 Set NIBP Simul
1) Select the SpO

parameter area or waveform area to enter [SpO
2
] menu.
2) Select [Alarm] tab.
3) Set [NIBP Simul] to [On] or [Off].
On: to prevent weak perfusion caused by NIBP measurement when NIBP and SpO
2
measurements are
performed on the same limb of a patient, which will lead to inaccurate SpO
2
measurements and even
trigger erroneous SpO
2
physiological alarm conditions.
11.8.5 Set SatSeconds (For Nellcor SpO
2
Only)
1) Select the SpO
2
parameter area or waveform area to enter [SpO
2
] menu.
2) Select [Setup] tab.
3) Set [SatSeconds] to the appropriate time.
This alarm is designed to reduce false alarms and keep the clinician informed of the SpO
2
changes more accurately
and timely. The clinician also sets a SatSeconds limit that allows monitoring of %SpO
2
below the selected lower
alarm limit for a period of time before an audible alarm sounds. For example, if you set [SatSeconds] to [50] and
the upper and lower alarm limit of NELLCOR SpO
2
respectively to 97% and 90%, maintain the measured SpO
2
value
at 80% for 3s and then reduce it to 78% for 2s, then the Monitor will trigger the alarm sound and indicator 5s after
the SpO
2
value goes beyond the alarm limit and the circle beside the SpO
2
value will return to the origin.
