7A.2.1 Regeneration
Regeneration can be performed when ECO Mode is active because the vacuum pump is
available for the regeneration programme.
If
¡ ECO Mode is activated and
¡ the parameter "Switch off vacuum pump" is set to “YES”,
regeneration can be started even though the glovebox runs in ECO Mode and the va-
cuum pump is switched off.
When the regeneration programme starts, the vacuum pump is switched on (in step 2 of
the regeneration programme). After step 17, when regeneration is complete , the vacuum
pump is switched off again, as long as it is not needed by another process. However, the
vacuum pump cannot be switched off manually during regeneration (refer to Chapter 7 of
the main documentation).
7A.2.2 Dedicated vacuum pumps for antechamber
VP1 / VP2 (dedicated vacuum pump(s) for antecham-
ber(s))
If antechambers are equipped with dedicated vacuum
pumps, these vacuum pumps are switched off 60
minutes after the last evacuation of the antechambers
(valid input range from 30 to 600 minutes).

All vacuum pumps, suppling manually operated ante-
chambers are switched off when the ECO Mode is ac-
tivated.
Note: The PLC does not receive any information about
the evacuation of the antechamber. Therefore, the va-
cuum pumps cannot be switched off automatically after
the antechamber cycle has finished!
Manually operated ante-
chambers
(without electrical valves or
sensors)
If automatic antechambers are installed (main ante-
chamber and/or mini antechamber):
When ECO Mode is activated, the vacuum pump VPG
is switched off.
When an automatic antechamber cycle starts:
¡ The vacuum pump is switched on.
¡ When the antechamber cycle is no longer active,
the vacuum pump is switched off after 30 minutes.
