6.5 Antechamber operating modes
Materials required for a process are moved into and out of the glovebox through the ante-
chamber.
During loading, the ambient air in the antechamber is replaced step by step with working
gas. This requires several cycles of purging or evacuation and refilling. These are dedic-
ated operation modes depending on the antechamber type.
6.6 Shut down system
Switch the system off over a lengthy time
The concentration of oxygen and water vapour inside increases continuously.
The system should only be switched off for the following reasons:
- In case of an emergency.
- During extended maintenance (e.g. replacement of reactors, particle filters, valves or
window opening).
- If the system will not be used for a longer period (> 4 weeks).
Shut down in case of emergency
Turn the main switch from the “I” position (on) to the
“0” position (off).
