4.2.1 Definition of the clean room volume
WARNING
Inert gas of high (or infinite) amount
Inert gas may be released into the environment as a result of malfunctions or faulty oper-
ation. This creates a suffocation risk in closed rooms, especially if the fault occurs in the
absence of any personnel.
Make sure that the automatic switch-off function parameter is activated.
If automatic switch-off is deactivated, be sure that the room is ventilated to prevent
the O
2
concentration in the ambient air from falling below 19%.
Always ensure sufficient room ventilation.
Connect the purge exhaust of the inert gas system to a sufficient powerful on-site ex-
haust system. For the required exhaust system flow rate refer to the technical data of
the MBRAUN system media connections.
