1.9.6 Terms used
¡ Inert gas systems from MBRAUN can be operated with Helium (He), Argron (Ar) or
nitrogen (N
2
) unless specified otherwise. These gases are referred to as “inert gases”.
Furthermore, as customer-specific purification systems, they also can be operated
with clean dry air (CDA). CDA is not an inert gas. However, the term “inert gas sys-
tem” used in this manual covers also the CDA operation.
¡ The term used in this manual for the box atmosphere is “working gas”. It refers either
to inert gas or to CDA.
¡ The persons or organisations, legally responsible for operating the system are herein-
after referred to as “operating company”. Persons working with the system on-site are
referred to as “operators”.
