figuration double LMF systems have no bypass function.
If the system is a MB-200G-W system, one solvent filter stands outside the standard
chassis.

Continuous box cir-
culation is available.
If one solvent filter is
in Siemens PLC-
controlled regenera-
tion mode. The
other solvent filter
can be run in purific-
ation mode.
All types of solvent filters are suitable for aromatic and aliphatic as well as halogenated
organic solvents, gasoline, kerosene, butyric acid, acid (suitability must be checked in all
other cases). The absorption capacity is approx. 100 g solvent per kg filter material.
If necessary, other versions are available as standalone type, either in fully manual or
partly Siemens PLC-controlled operation.
2.3.5 Box pressure control
MBRAUN systems are equipped with Siemens PLC-controlled pressure regulation, which
is activated automatically when the inert gas system is switched on.
The Siemens PLC automatically starts system activities if the glovebox/enclosure pres-
sure exceeds given limits.
Definition of terms
Box pressure Current pressure, prevailing in the glovebox or enclosure
Working pressure Operator’s desired box pressure
