12.3 Maintenance contract with MBRAUN
Optionally, a maintenance contract can be signed with MBRAUN.
Depending on the type of processes and process materials in the glovebox, MBRAUN of-
fers the following maintenance contracts:
¡ 1-year contract
¡ 2-year contract
¡ 5-year contract
Within the contract time the type of service could be
¡ Cyclic inspection (interval-driven)
¡ Inspection and repair (on request or prepaid time allocation)
¡ E-Check
¡ Other predefined maintenance tasks
12.3.1 Analyser calibration
MBRAUN offers a return service for analysers that are in need of calibration. Because it
can take up to two or three weeks before your original analyser is returned, MBRAUN will
send a replacement to ensure uninterrupted operation (refer to chapter Returning analys-
ers to MBRAUN [}1 - 12]). If you have any questions, please contact MBRAUN Service.
12.3.2 Safety E-check service
Due to the need that an inert gas system shall be electrically safe and regularly tested,
MBRAUN offers an E-Check service in accordance with German DGUVV3 (former
BGVA3) rules or other national rules depending on demand.
This service can include the following tests:
¡ Inspection of grounding system (supplementary grounding lead 10sqmm)
¡ Inspection of the status of the cables
¡ Measurement of the grounding resistance
¡ Measurement of the insulation resistance
¡ Inspection / measurement of leakage current
12.4 Safety during maintenance work
MBRAUN recommends
¡ adapting the inspection and maintenance work to the specific conditions of used ma-
terials and on-site conditions. These conditions have to be integrated into specific
standard flow procedures.
¡ to do a risk analyses to identify risky maintenance work. Create and communicate an
SOP for risky works.
