Alternative:
On the Solvent Filter screen, touch the Circulation LMF Filter 1 or Circulation LMF
Filter 2 button.
ð The solvent filter is deactivated.
7.4.3 Solvent analyser (optional)
A solvent analyser (MB-UGP or MB-HC-SE1) measures the concentration of solvents
downstream after the solvent filter in the pipework. This is for safety reasons to monitor
the solvent filter function and to detect the capacity limit of a solvent filter. Values are
measured near the outlet of the solvent filter. Readings are monitored by the Siemens
PLC which will generate a warning when the filter material becomes exhausted.
For monitoring specific processes a solvent analyser MB-UGP could measure the solvent
concentrations in the circulated glovebox atmosphere.
If hazards could result from solvent concentrations in your glovebox atmosphere, safety
measurements must be implemented. Please ask MBRAUNService to clarify details.
The readings of solvent analyser distinguish between different solvents and are displayed
in ppm values on the touch panel.
Parameter values for a solvent analyser are set in the Menu Screen Selection screen

7.5 Regeneration operation
After a certain reactor operation interval, the reactor is exhausted and must be regener-
ated. This interval depends on the type of processes and on the process materials used.
MBRAUN recommends regenerating the reactor at fix intervals. To determine the interval
after commissioning and after each process modification:
Switch a fully regenerated reactor to circulation mode.
Note the operation time in hours when the concentration of O
2
and/or H
2
O starts to
rise.
Subtract 10% from this time to get the regeneration interval.
MBRAUN recommends starting a reactor regeneration at the end of a working day and
letting it run overnight.
Single purifier (sp):
A reactor in circulation mode is disabled for the regeneration function. After the circulation
function is switched off, the regeneration function is enabled.
Double purifier (dp):
While one reactor is being regenerated, circulation can continue via the other RKM.
