Pressure disturbance
If the box pressure or antechamber pressure changes, please follow section Eliminating
faults [}11 - 1].
9.5.5 Loading and unloading
The door operation follows the sequence as outlined in section Antechamber door opera-
tion [}9 - 2].
The material handling corresponds to the manual loading and unloading of the antecham-
ber.
9.6 PLC-controlled door interlock
For increased operational safety, a Siemens PLC-controlled locking mechanism is avail-
able for the main antechamber and mini antechamber doors. The outside and inside door
are interlocked. If the lock is active, a locked door cannot be opened. This Siemens PLC-
controlled interlock is an optional feature MB-SCH-PLC-2-DV with MBRAUN sales num-
ber 1500284.
Mechanics of door lock on main antechamber
1 Hole 2 Bolt
When the door is locked the bolt(2) is pneumatically slid into the hole(1).
If the air pressure falls to (almost) zero, the bolt returns to its initial position, i.e. is retrac-
ted.
