PLC-controlled, automatic operated
The automatic antechamber cycle with evacuation and refilling is defined by parameters.
When evacuation starts, the vacuum pump is also
switched on automatically if it had been previously been
off.
► Touch Automatic button.
ð Button colour changes to green.
ð The Antechamber Cycle button is enabled (black let-
ter on grey background).
► Touch Antechamber Cycle button.
ð Button colour changes to green.
ð The Evacuation / Refill sequence starts with full
Siemens PLC-control.

The current status of the
antechamber cycle in pro-
gress is displayed in the
information bar at the top
of the screen.
Once the antechamber cycle has finished:
On a standard system: both antechamber doors are released.
On a system with the automatic door lock feature:
¡ Both antechamber doors are also released, but they are interlocked.
¡ If the outside door is opened, the inside door is locked. The door can only be opened
after the next antechamber cycle has finished.
¡ If the inside door is opened, the outside door is locked. The outside door can be
opened once the inside door is closed.
Inner door lock
If the antechamber is not used over lengthy period of time the antechamber atmosphere
may no longer be pure. Therefore, as an optional feature, the inner door can be locked
automatically by the system after an adjustable delay time. Before the inner door can be
opened, a full cycle must be completed.
