7A.3 Safety
Intended use
The ECO Mode is designed to save energy and reduce noise during periods when no op-
erators are working at the inert gas system.
The ECO Mode operates with overpressure and is therefore intended for product protec-
tion only. If gas that is toxic, harmful to health or in any way dangerous, is present in the
glovebox, the waste gas outlet (exhaust) of the gas purification unit must be connected to
an appropriate in-house exhaust system.
Improper use
If the upper operating limit of the system is set to a value < 0 mbar and the box is to be
kept at negative pressure, the ECO Mode must not be activated.

force.

Start screen
The activated ECO Mode
feature is indicated by the
green “ECO-Mode” indic-
ator (bottom right of the
Touch Panel). If the indic-
ator is grey (as shown in
figure to the left), the ECO
Mode feature is deactiv-
ated.
