Preparation
> A new analyser should be on hand.
► Check whether the sensor head is moistened with phosphoric acid (85% H
3
PO
4
).
If it is not moistened, follow the steps described in the chapter “Maintenance for the
H2O analyser [}1 - 9]”.
After moistening or exposure to ambient air, the moisture analyser requires two up to
max. six hours before it can return accurate measurement values again.
Preferred vertical position
Wherever possible, the moisture analyser should be mounted in a vertical position. This
position provides longest life span.
If no vertical position is available, best alternative is a horizontal mounting position.
Avoid the installation with head up
Continue with Mounting an analyser [}1 - 10]
8A.4.4 Maintenance for the H2O analyser
NOTICE
Insufficient maintenance of the moisture analyser
Inaccurate measurements and impure box atmosphere
► Clean the analyser after 2000 hours of operation.
► At the very latest, clean the analyser when prompted to do so by the pop-up menu on
the touch panel.
WARNING
Use of phosphoric acid as cleaning agent
Critical injury from chemical burns on skin or eyes
► Wear protective gloves and protective glasses.
► If you come in contact with phosphoric acid, immediately rinse the affected part of the
body with flowing water and contact a physician.
