10 Additional equipment
10.1 Introduction
Additional features and equipment can refer to the following in this document:
¡ Additional MBRAUN components which provide solutions for specific processes.
¡ Additional components supplied by another manufacturer.
¡ Additional components added by the system’s operating company.
This chapter describes additional equipment and features that can be ordered from
MBRAUN by the operating company.
The following chapter(s) contain(s) description of other add-on features and functions
which can be ordered by the operating company in addition to the standard scope of de-
livery.
10.2 Safety
WARNING
Button “emergency off” on 3rd party equipment
Typically, emergency off buttons on 3rd party equipment shut off the 3rd party equipment
but do not necessarily shut off the MBRAUN equipment.
► Whenever an emergency button is pressed on 3rd party equipment, be sure to also
press the emergency off button on the MBRAUN system, if one is available.
► If no emergency off button is provided on MBRAUN equipment, deactivate circulation
in case of an emergency situation. If the emergency situation requires that the equip-
ment be disconnected from the power supply, switch the power off.
10.3 Additional options
MBRAUN offers a variety of additional equipment for retrofitting a system (see examples
in the following tables).
