7.3 Circulation
If the reactor symbol button is displayed in green on the Start screen, the glovebox/en-
closure atmosphere is circulated through the reactor.
Circulation mode is started either:
¡ By manual activation by the operator
¡ Automatically by the Siemens PLC after the regeneration sequence has finished
Once circulation has started, the blower moves the glovebox atmosphere from the glove-
box/enclosure to the reactor. Inside the reactor, H
2
O and O
2
are reduced and the atmo-
sphere is directed back to the glovebox/enclosure.
¡ Single purifier (sp): the reactor in circulation operation is blocked for "regeneration"
mode. With switching off the circulation mode, the regeneration mode is enabled.
¡ Double purifier (dp): only one reactor can be in circulation mode. The second reactor
is available for regeneration.
¡ The “box purge” mode is blocked during circulation of the glovebox/enclosure atmo-
sphere.
NOTICE
High concentration of solvents in the glovebox
A high concentration of solvent vapours in the glovebox can damage the reactor filter.
Use a solvent filter if solvent vapours are in the glovebox.
