NOTICE
The purity of the box atmosphere declines linearly over time when circulation is
off.
Process materials can be compromised if circulation is switched off.
8.8.1 Glovebox pressure
Pressure monitoring
The gloves can be used as a rough method for monitoring the pressure:
¡ Gloves directed to outside: glovebox is in overpressure (if gloves are then quickly
moved to the inside the box pressure increases until the automatic box pressure reg-
ulation intervenes)
¡ Gloves are directed to inside: glovebox is in negative pressure (if gloves are then
quickly moved to the outside the box pressure decreases until the automatic box
pressure regulation intervenes)
The reading of the glove-
box pressure sensor is
displayed in the top bar of
the Start screen (value
„P:“ on figure to the left).
This value provides a de-
tailed monitoring.
The current glovebox pressure is additionally dis-
played in box icon in the Start screen (value “Press:”
in the figure to the left).
Pressure regulation
¡ The automatic glovebox pressure regulation keeps the glovebox pressure inside the
working range limits as configured in the screen Box Parameter.
¡ Within the working range, the box pressure can be set using the foot switches.
MBRAUN glovebox systems are equipped with foot pedals. The box pressure can con-
veniently be changed within the working range by actuating one of the foot switches.
