Moisture on the sensor’s metal parts
The metal parts can rust
► Moisten only the sensor head if it lies in a horizontal position.
► Keep the acid away from all metal parts and the screw joint.

► Moisten only the sensor head (a). The sensor head
must be in horizontal position for moistening.
► Keep the acid away from all metal parts and the
screw joint (b).
► Apply a thin line of
phosphoric acid (10)
to the sensor (11)
► Use a clean, lint-free
cloth to spread the
acid in a thin even
layer around the
sensor (11)
Screw on the protective cap
Screw the protective cap
onto the sensor (12).
