Particle filter HEPA
A HEPA filter in the gas outlet protects the gas purifier against contamination from pro-
cesses that take place inside the glovebox. In the gas inlet, a HEPA filter traps particles in
the inlet gas before it flows into the glovebox.
Technical data
The standard filter is a HEPA class 13 filter according to DIN EN 1822. It has an integral
particle retention ratio of 99.95% (determined for the most penetrating particle size,
MPPS, which is 0.3µm).
Filter types with higher efficiency are available (e.g. HEPA 14 classification – filtering of
99.995% of the particles).
