Unloading cycle
① Glovebox/enclosure ② Antechamber
1 Antechamber filled with glove-
box/enclosure atmosphere
(equal gas and pressure)
2 ► Open inner door.
► Transfer material into ante-
chamber.
3 ► Close inner door. 4 ► Open outer door.
ð Antechamber is filled with
ambient air.
► Transfer material to out-
side.
In case of hazardous material or a hazardous atmosphere inside the glovebox, special
safety measures (including e.g. an antechamber cycle) are mandatory. They may not be
part of a standard system.
Antechamber after system downtime
After a lengthy downtime of the system, permeation and diffusion has filled the antecham-
ber with ambient air.
► Make a full antechamber cycle (3x evacuate plus refill) prior to start operating the
antechamber.
