ltersusedbythereceiverarenarrower.Thelongerpulsedurationwillprovide
longerrange,butreducedverticalresolution.
TheselterswillreducetheEK15'ssensitivityfornoise,butthelengthofthe
transmittedpulsewillgiveyoustrongerechoes.Withthelters,alongerpulse
durationwillprovidelongerrange,butreducedverticalresolution.

OntheEK15,thepoweroutputisxed,andyouarenotpermittedtoadjustit.

Thisisthedepthofthetransducerfacerelativetothewatersurface.
Inordertomeasurecorrectwaterdepth,theEK15needstoknowthevertical
distancebetweenthevessel’swaterlineandtheacousticfaceofeachtransducer.
Thedepthofeachindividualtransducermustbedenedmanually.Enterthedepth
asapositivenumber.
ThisparameterisonlyvalidwhentheEK15andanumberoftransceiversand
transducersareusedonavessel.

6Sequentialpinging
TheSequentialpingingfunctioncanbeusedifyouhavemorethanone
transceiver/transducerinuseontheEK15system.Whenactivated,eachindividual
transceiverwill‘ping’insequence,onebyone.Whennotactivated,alltransceivers
will‘ping’simultaneously.
Tip
TheSequentialpingingfunctioncanbeveryusefulifyourtransducersarelocatedin
suchamannerthatinterferenceisaproblem.
