ThisIPaddressisunessential,unlessyouhavemorethanoneEthernetboardon
yourcomputer.YoumustthenspecifytheIPaddressoftheboardyouwishtouse.
2RemoteIPAddress
Ifyouwishtosetupdatabroadcasttoallperipheralsonthesystem,selectRemote
IPAddress255.255.255.255.
Ifyourtransmissionisdirectlyaimedataparticularrecipient,youmustspecify
itsIPaddress.
3LocalPort
ThevalueoftheLocalPortisunessential,andyoudonotneedtospecifyavalue
otherthanthedefault.
4RemotePort
TheEK15softwareusesthisnetworkporttotransmit
information.Theapplication
ontheremotecomputerwill“listen”tothisportnumber.Youmustthenaccessthe
applicationontheremotecomputertosetupthelocalporttomatch.

thedefaultvalueprovided.IfyouhavemorethanoneEthernetboardonyour
computer,orifyouuseanEthernetboardwithmultipleIPaddresses,youmust
specifytheIPaddressoftheboardyouwishtouse.
2RemoteIPAddress
Ifyouwishtoreceivedata,thisIPaddressisunessential.
3LocalPort
Thisportmustmatchtheportnumberontheremotecomputer.Tondtheport
numberontheremotecomputer,consultthedocumentationforthesoftwareutility
tobeused.Ifthedatacommunicationissetuptoonlytransmitinformation,this
parameterisnotrequired.
4RemotePort
IfyousetupyourEK15toreceivedata,thisportisunessential.KeeptheRemote
Portdefaultvalue.
HowtheIPaddressesandportsaresetupintheEK15tocommunicatein
aclosednetwork
Ifthelocalsystem(EK15)andtheremotesystemshallcommunicatepoint-to-pointina
