serialconverter.Severaltypesarecommerciallyavailable.

manual.
dEnsurethatthetotallengthoftheseriallinecabledoesnotexceed
approximately50meters.
Ifalongercableisrequired,youmayneedtousebufferampliersonthe
serialline.

toconnectit.
7ClickOKtosavethecurrentsettingsandclosethedialogbox.

buttontoopentheSerialPortSetupdialogbox.
9IntheSerialPortSetupdialogbox,entertherelevantparameterstosetuptheport.
10ClickOKtosavethecurrentsettingsandclosethedialogbox.
11IntheI/OSetupdialogbox,clickonthechosenporttoselectit,thenclickthe
MonitorbuttontoopenthePortMonitordialogbox.
12Checkthedataowontheinputcommunicationline.
