Lid Open
TheLidOpenandDoorOpenInterlocksuseacodedmagneticswitchtodetectthepresenceofthe
transportchamberlidandtheVCEdoorintheclosedposition.
TheLidOpenInterlockmaybebypassedbyusingaservicekeywithamatchingcodedmagnet.
Thekeyisdesignedtopreventthelidfrombeingclosedwhileitisinstalled.Ensuretheservicekey
isremovedandthelidisproperlyclosedbeforereturningtheMXsystemtooperation.
NOTE: AttemptingtopumpdownthetransportchamberorVCEwhileopenwiththe
servicekeyinstalledmaydamagethepumpsorothervacuumcomponents.
Emergency Off (EMO) Circuit
Typically,ausersuppliedEMObuttonwillbeconfiguredsuchthatpressingitwillremoveallpower
fromtheMarathonExpressandallattachedcomponents.Oncetheemergencyisresolved,which
canincludedeterminingthereasonfortheemergencyandcheckingthestationinvolvedduringthe
emergency,powercanberestoredtotheMXsystemandallattachedcomponents.Withpower
restoredtherobotandallattachedcomponentsshouldbere-initialized,thenprocessingcanbe
restarted.
