TheBrooksAutomationMarathonExpressisacomplexelectromechanicaldevice.Onlypersons
withthepropertrainingshouldattempttoserviceoroperatetheanypartofthematerialtransfer
tool.
AllfacilitiestotheMarathonExpressmustbedisconnectedasoutlinedinthefacility’s
lockout/tagoutproceduresbeforeservicing,orinjurymayresultfromtheautomaticoperationofthe
equipment.Ifnosuchproceduresexist,followtheguidelinesprovidedin"LaserHazards"onpage
46.Theproperprecautionsforoperatingandservicingremotelycontrolledelectromechanical
equipmentmustbeobserved.Theseprecautionsincludewearingahardhat,safetyglasses,safety
shoes,andanyotherprecautionsspecifiedwithinthefacilitywheretheMarathonExpressisbeing
used.
