Packing Procedure
Step Action
1.
Turnoffanddisconnectallpower,communications,andairconnectionsasdetailedin"Shut-down"on
page1.
2.
Removetheanytie-downsfromtheMarathonExpresssystemframe.
3.
ReleasetheclampssecuringtheMarathonExpresssystemtotheProcessModule(s).
4.
ReattachthecasterstotheMXsystem’sframeusingthehardwarethatwassuppliedwiththem.
5.
Lowerthecastersuntilthefeethavebeenraisedoffofthefloor.
6.
Screwinthesystemlevelingfeetsothattheyarefullyretractedintotheframe.
7.
RolltheMarathonExpresssystemawayfromtheProcessModules.
NOTE: InspectthetravelrouteoftheMarathonExpresssystem.Coverdips,thresholds,orany
unevenfloortransitionswithplates.
8.
SecuretherobotarmsintheMarathonExpressVacuumBackEndtopreventmovementanddamage
duringshipmentbyusingtheshippingbracketssuppliedwiththeMXsystemwhenitwasreceived.
9.
SecuretheVCEplatformanddoortopreventmovementanddamageduringshipmentbyusingthe
shippingbracketssuppliedwiththeMXsystemwhenitwasreceived.
10.
AttachblankoffstothevacuumslotvalvesontheMarathonExpressVacuumBackEnd.
11.
SecureanyloosecablesintheMarathonExpressandprotectallcableendsandconnectors.
12.
Rollthesystemintoadoublepoly-baginaclass100packagingcleanroom.
13.
Lowerthesystembyturningthecastersuntilthesystemisrestingontheforkliftchannelsinsideofthe
bag.
NOTE: Alwaysadjusteachcasterthesameamount.Donotallowtheframeofthechambertotwist.
14.
Removethecasters.Replacethemontheoutsideofthebag.
15.
Removetheforktubegasketsealplates.Replacethemontheoutsideofthebag.
16.
AdddesiccantpacksasappropriatetoensuretheMXsystemstaysdry.
